Ingredients

Yield: Yield: 6 servings 3/4 cup Kikkoman Sweet & Sour Sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
1 teaspoon salt
3 pounds pork spareribs
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Combine sweet & sour sauce, brown sugar, chili powder, red pepper, salt and 1 Tbsp. water.
  2. Cut ribs into 1-rib pieces. Cut breastbone portion from large rib pieces.
  3. Brown half of ribs in hot oil in Dutch oven or large saucepan over medium-high heat; remove. Brown remaining ribs with garlic in same pan. Remove pan from heat; stir in sweet & sour sauce mixture. Add ribs and stir to coat all pieces evenly with sauce. Return pan to heat; cover and simmer 1-1/2 to 2 hours, or until ribs are tender, stirring occasionally.
  4. Arrange ribs on serving platter. Skim off excess fat from sauce. Pour sauce over ribs to serve.
