(Yield: 4 servings)
1-1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1/3 cup Kikkoman Teriyaki Marinade & Sauce
2 tablespoons instant minced onion
4 ounces Cheddar, Swiss or American cheese, cut into 4 slices*
- Thoroughly combine beef, teriyaki sauce and onion; shape into 8 thin patties.
- On each of 4 patties place 1 cheese slice. Top cheese slices with remaining patties; pinch edges together to seal.
- Place on grill 4 to 5 inches from hot coals. Cook about 4 minutes on each side, or until at least medium doneness (160°F). (Or, place patties on broiler pan. Broil 2 inches from heat source about 5 minutes on each side, or until at least medium doneness.) *Filling Variations: Substitute cheese slices with 1/2-inch thick tomato slices; or 1/2-inch thick tomato slice topped with 1 cheese slice, or canned pineapple slices.
