Ingredients

Yield: Yield: 6 servings 3 pounds pork spareribs, cracked and sawed
into thirds across bones*
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 tablespoons chopped fresh ginger root
2 tablespoons dry sherry
1 tablespoon Kikkoman Soy Sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 cup Kikkoman Black Bean Sauce with Garlic
1 bunch green onions and tops, cut diagonally
into 1/2-inch lengths

Instructions

  1. Cut ribs into 1-rib pieces.
  2. Heat oil in Dutch oven over high heat. Add ribs and ginger; brown ribs on all sides, stirring frequently.
  3. Pour in 1-1/4 cups water, sherry and soy sauce; bring to boil. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer, 1 hour, or until ribs are tender, stirring frequently.
  4. Blend cornstarch with 1 Tbsp. water; stir into rib mixture with black bean sauce. Return to boil; cook and stir until sauce thickens slightly. Remove from heat and stir in green onions.

    *Ask meat retailer to cut spareribs in thirds across the bones.
