Ingredients

(Makes (9-inch) square cake)

3 cups flour
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2/3 cup butter flavor shortening
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup buttermilk


Topping:
1 cup brown sugar
3 teaspoons cinnamon
1 stick melted butter
1 cup Kikkoman Panko Bread Crumbs or Whole Wheat Panko
3/4 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

Sift together dry ingredients, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and sugar. Cut in shortening until mixture look like coarse meal. Combine egg and buttermilk, stir in to flour mixture. Spread into a greased rectangle aluminum dessert sheet (13 x 9). Sprinkle with topping and bake at 350° for 30 minutes until firm in the middle.
